It looks like this is how the FSP gets rid of members they no longer want in their project. At the Grafton meeting Amanda said the Free State Project had urged the recipeint of this letter not to move to NH. As far as I know, that letter is the only urging the person received.

Amanda Phillips 21 mins into June 19th 2004 Grafton meeting:

"The gentelman who is responsible for that site, um, I don't know if he ever intended to move to New Hampshire, I, I actualy doubt that he did, that he even intends to move here. But we, in the Free State Project, we have urged him to not move to New Hampshire, we don't want him to be part of our project. And uh, it's unfortuante...

(interupted by applause 6 seconds)....

Um, it's unfortunate, it's, it's just, just like the Democratic party, anybody can join. Um, and, ya know, we, we, uh, when he started making those destructive comments and behaving irresponsibly, we have asked him to leave. Um, And so, so I don't know, he's not even here today, and I don't know if, if he's ever going to move to New Hampshire or if he's just going to maintain and offensive website. I mean thats, as far as I know, thats just what he's going to do, is maintain an offensive website."

Another funny thing about all this moving to NH talk...

At the Oct. 1 2003 FSP state announcement press conference, Jason said he was stepping down as FSP president so the FSP could have a president in NH. Has that happend yet? It's been a year.

Amanda keeps saying she is going to move to NH, but the plan keeps getting pushed back.

Amanda's daughter just started at a Sudbury school in MA this year. Amanda has wanted her daught to go there for a year or two. Amanda also seems to like her job at Five Star Quality Care, Inc. in MA.

A year ago Amanda was saying she planned on moving to Nashua or Manchester in about a year. "Amanda Phillips, a 30-year-old single mother from Burlington, Mass., plans to relocate to Manchester or Nashua in about a year as a Free State member." - Live Free or Move, Eagle-Tribune, 10/05/03. I don't think she still has the same plan. More recently on The Exchange, NHPR Amanda said she was applying to Harvard Law school. It does not sound like she is making plans to move to NH any time soon. But it also doesn't look like the FSP will reach 20,000 by Sept. 2006, or anytime, so I guess she has no obligation to move.
